My name is Kim. I am trying to get help for my mother. She is disable and my dad left her after 45 years of marriage for her brothers 25 year old wife. She has an artifical hip and is prone to get infection set up in it so when she gets sick we have to make sure she gets the care she needs. She needs help paying for IV sedation to have her teeth cut out. It will cost her $400. I help her all I can but I am not able to help her with this. Her medicaid pays for the extractions but will not cover the sedation. Is there anywhere she can get help?

Hello.  I am a single mother of three.  For the past 15 years I have worked at the same company. In October 2006 I became very sick.  I developed fluid around my heart and started hemmorging. I went to the ER, where I went into Cardic Resp. Failure twice. I went into renal failure and was put on kidney diaylsis. I was in a coma for about 26 days.  The doctors said I was permantley brain dead. Thank God for his grace and having the last say. I have been on Insurance Disability thru my company, which is how my children and I have been surving.  However, without any notice I found out on the day of my deposit that Aetna had cancelled my LTD, despite what my doctors say.  I am appealing this, however it could take up to 180 days to get a response. My ex husband is in jai,. so Im not receiveing any support from him.  My children have been through so much.  I will probably lose our home, due to no income at all.  However, if there are any resources or any help I could get to help my children with Christmas.  I feel they have had to deal with so much lately, with my sickness, my divorce and my ex is in jail (while I was in a coma, using meth) and their lifestyle totally chaning. If you could help or know of any resources that could help, please let me know.  Thanks.

i'm not doing so well either but it's so nice to have you get back to me. i know what can be too. i have fibrymalgia it think since all this stress it's gotten worse. i got some good from my sister tonight about my electric. she told me to contact the welfare office and get a case worker to send me an application to get help paying my lights. she gets 70% of her lights paid all year long. i am calling them tomorrow. it would be so nice not to have to worry about that bill. well i will let you go so you can rest try to feel better soon. talk to later.

Hi my name is Adrian. I am eighteen years old. I recently moved to San Jose California from Albuquerque New Mexico. For most of my child hood life my mother was and still is disabled. When I was five my step dad and her were arguing he was drunk and she didnt want to be around him. One thing led to another and she ended up at the bottom of our staircase with two slipped discs. Since then she has developed fibromialgia. She was once a nurse. Now she lives in New Mexico with my two younger brothers and my seven year old sister. She is on didability and only makes 1200 dollars a month. Even though my mother could use some help she is not the reason I am where I am today. I live on my own here in San Jose trying to go to school. I just cant seem to make rent or pay for any food. Work is slim and Ive got noone to help me. I have lived in San Jose for a little over six months. I am trying to do this on my own.I do not want to ask my mom for much because i know that she doesnt have much to give. Rent is 600 dollars a month, and I am two months behind. I have no food and no money. i have been eating whatever i can get from a food bank at a church next to the neighborhood that i live in. All I really need is a small push. I know that I can make it work. The economy is bad and cant find a descent job anywhere. I am willing to work anywhere. Things are going about the same on this end, so not much progress has been made. I checked out one of the grant sites and they don't seem to be of much help either. I'm not sure what steps to take next. I have been in terrible pain for the past few days, so I'm not real social right now. How are you doing. I'll wait to hear from you.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but life has been hectic lately. I did get free insurance from the Human Resources Department (in Fort Collins, Colorado.) The states each have a choice in what medical expenses they will cover. Here they do not cover dental or vision for adults, so things aren't working out so well for me, since my jaw is considered oral. If you have anymore leads or want to chat, let me know.

I am a single, disabled mother with one child at home right now. I ended up with nerve damage in my face from a sinus surgery about 4-5 years ago. Due to the damage, my mucles and nerves dislocated my jaw (also been out for about the same amount of time. I live in Colorado and am on state insurance. The is absolutely no coverage to get this aligment fixed. Being on a low, fixed income, there is absolutely, no way I can get this fixed. It is breaking my teeth (that were perfect before this incident.) I am looking for a way to get a grant or scholarship to get the care that I need. I am continually in terrible pain. Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.
